Summary

As an Activities Director at Aristocrat Berea Healthcare & Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging activities and therapeutic recreation. This position is essential in creating a vibrant community atmosphere where residents feel valued and connected.

Minimum starting salary for the position is $42,000 annually; salary is negotiable based on experience.

The typical schedule for this opportunity is Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Start and end times are flexible based on community need. This position is a part of the community management team and will take part in the manager on duty weekend coverage rotation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging activity programs tailored to the needs of residents.
• Coordinate recreational therapy sessions that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure activities are inclusive and accessible for all residents.
• Assess individual resident interests and preferences to personalize activity plans.
• Facilitate group activities that encourage social interaction and community building.
• Maintain records of participation and evaluate the effectiveness of programs.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding resident participation and progress.

Requirements

Requirements

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of dementia care and memory support techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to develop creative recreational programs that meet diverse needs.
• Compassionate approach to working with individuals with disabilities or health challenges.
• Activities Director certification, Recreational Therapy certification, Certified Occupational Therapy assistant preferred
