Associate Director for Student Involvement
Reporting to the Executive Director of Student Involvement and Engagement, the Associate Director for Student Involvement provides strategic leadership and operations oversight for the Student Involvement elements of the department's portfolio, including student organization development and administration, campus-wide programming, and community engagement efforts. As a member of the departmental leadership team, the Associate Director plays a central role in advancing a comprehensive involvement strategy that fosters belonging, supports student development, and contributes to the institution's retention and student success outcomes. Utilizing the student success framework, the Associate Director leads the design, implementation and continuous improvement efforts of a co-curricular experience that connects students to the university community, strengthens student organizations and creates meaningful pathways for students' involvement journey.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position. Master's degree in higher education, student affairs or related field. Five years' progressive full-time experience in student involvement, student affairs or related areas. Three years of experience supervising professional staff. Experience developing and managing large-scale campus programs or initiatives. Experience working as an advisor to student organizations or overseeing student organization registration processes. Experience assessing and managing risks in student-led and University programs.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with student organization management systems of engagement platforms. Experience developing training and development programs for students and/or advisors. Experience with policy development related to student organizations or campus programming. Experience building partnerships and collaborating across departments in a university setting. Experience at a large public institution
