The Clinical Coordinator (CC)/Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) is responsible for the coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center, including patient care assessment, care planning and implementation, and quality improvement efforts. This position works with the Program Director and the Medical Director to meet center objectives and ensure optimal healing outcomes and patient satisfaction. All clinicians must perform job responsibilities in accordance with Healogics and hospital policies, accrediting organizations, federal and state regulations, and CMS guidelines, as applicable. Responsibilities Proficient in all responsibilities related to case management. May provide case management to a group of patients with specific assessments according to protocols and procedures, clinical competence in procedural skills, treatments, and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management. Organizes and prioritizes clinical responsibilities; provides clinical oversight to clinical staff such as RNs, LPNs/LVNs, CMAs, Hyperbaric Oxygen Technicians, and others. Collaborates with other health care providers, hospital personnel, Wound Care Center Providers, Program Director, and Medical Director regarding clinical and patient needs. Identifies and implements areas of improvement while complying with HIPAA, DOH, hospital and Healogics requirements. Engages in staff development through in-services, instruction, and orientation; provides staff recognition and constructive feedback. Collaborates with the Program Director on program objectives from a budgetary and financial perspective; coordinates vein clinic and care as needed if Vein Care services are provided. Collaborates with Program Director and Medical Director to achieve Wound Care Center quality indicators. May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) and may perform hyperbaric safety director duties after training; may act as a chamber operator or emergency chamber operator following training. Performs patient care based on Center staffing needs and performs other duties as required. Qualifications Current RN (Registered Nurse) license maintained throughout employment. Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. One year experience as an RN required; two or more years’ experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Wound care certification preferred. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Planning, organization, prioritization and time-management skills. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, including presentation skills. Ability to work with others in a team environment and communicate in layman’s terms at all levels. Ability to manage multiple projects; strong customer service and follow-up skills. Analytical and quantitative skills; leadership, team-building and motivational abilities. Change management and problem-solving skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of hospital databases and web-based systems. Physical Demands Stationary position for extended periods; computer use for extended periods. Reading, writing, lifting/moving items up to 20 pounds; up to 75 pounds with equipment assistance. Bending/stooping, reaching/grasping/touching with hands; travel as needed (car, airplane, etc.). Work Environment Normal office environment and patient care environment; exposure to hazards and mechanical equipment. Compensation The salary for this position generally ranges between $78,900.00 and $106,300.00 annually. The range is an estimate based on qualifications, education, experience, geography, operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
