Sales Manager

The Sales Manager at La‑Z‑Boy Furniture Galleries in Tacoma, WA leads a high‑performing sales team, executes personnel and store sales initiatives, and drives revenue growth while upholding the company’s ethos of prioritizing people, optimizing processes, delivering exceptional products, and reinforcing core values. Key Responsibilities Achieve or surpass store and individual sales goals, annual operating benchmarks, and personal objectives. Promote the in‑home design program and champion the selling process on the sales floor. Provide coaching, training, and support to improve sales techniques, strategies, and overall performance. Ensure staff deliver exceptional customer service and build long‑term relationships. Recruit, train, and mentor staff to meet sales targets and foster a positive work environment. Maintain the store’s brand image, values, and customer experience standards through layout, product presentation, and employee interactions. Support company‑wide marketing initiatives and promotions. Resolve customer concerns and support sales promotion events. Uphold operational excellence and brand visual standards. Execute administrative procedures and support systems. Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent. 1–3 years of retail sales experience with a business unit focus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and financial understanding. Strong interpersonal communication, analytical abilities, goal orientation, team management, and customer service skills. Ability to work the required schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred: experience managing in a retail environment, strong business acumen, and advanced interpersonal skills. Compensation Training Pay: $20 per hour for 2–6 weeks (no commission). Base Salary: $26,000 per year. Commission & Bonus: Uncapped commissions on written sales (1–6% based on achievement vs. goal) and a monthly bonus opportunity up to $1,500 based on store sales goals.
