Join our team at Community Hospital-Fairfax as a Mammographer and play a crucial role in detecting breast tissue abnormalities through mammographic imaging studies. As a Mammographer, you will have the opportunity to utilize your skills in radiologic standards, safety, and patient care to ensure accurate and thorough imaging studies for diagnosis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize your abilities as a Mammography Technologist to produce high-quality mammographic images.
• Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure patient comfort and confidence.
• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and care.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and provide assistance in positioning body parts for imaging.
• Participate as a team player in the Radiology department, maintaining radiation safety measures and performing administrative duties.

Required Skills:

• ARRT Certified with a strong understanding of diagnostic imaging and radiology procedures.
• Experience in Digital Mammography, Bone Density, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, X-Rays, and other medical imaging techniques.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) with knowledge of infection control and safety protocols.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, adjust to shifting priorities, and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer service-oriented approach to patient care.
