Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 Summary This non-supervisory position coordinates with stakeholders, managing equipment, planning logistics, developing plans, teaching and training equipment protocols to stakeholders, reporting information as appropriate, notifying chain of command as appropriate, writing situational reports and after-action reports, and following up with the stakeholder in post-deployment communications. This position supports mission-critical Department of Homeland Security Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) operations. Personnel must be capable of supporting surge deployments, intelligence-driven operations, National Special Security Events (NSSE), and steady-state detection missions. Travel, extended hours, 24/7 shift work, weekends, holidays, and recall during contingency operations may be required. Work for this position will be located at one of the following sites: Fort Dix, NJ Herndon, VA Indianapolis, IN Mobile, AL Novato, CA Portland, OR Denver, CO Washington, DC This position supports travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites throughout the 54 US States and Territories. Job Description Conduct CBRN detection operations Function as Project Manager when the project manager is absent. Manage and maintain file system for regional documentation to include record keeping, following file standards and protocols, and maintaining both electronic and paper files. Responsible for maintaining their equipment, tactics, techniques, and procedure standards by completing all training, including refresher training, in accordance with MDDP policies. Supports fleet management by documenting, tracking, submitting, and filing all necessary fleet vehicle information in accordance with MDDP, CWMD, and DHS policies. Adheres to professional standards and codes of conduct set forth by MDDP, CWMD, and DHS including dress code, all forms of communication standards, social media regulations, and other policies as required. Presents clear, concise, and accurate information on the Mobile Detection Deployment Program and its capabilities to a variety of stakeholders and group sizes. Supports training on and answers questions on policies, procedures, protocols, and equipment of the program to a variety of stakeholders and group sizes unless otherwise directed Submit Travel Approvals within 48hrs after members receive an Operations Order (OPORD) unless otherwise directed. Qualifications Preference is given to those individuals who have advanced training and experience on an MDDP team, any of the National Guard CBRN Response Enterprise (CRE) elements including the Civil Support Team (CST), CBRNE Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP), and Homeland Response Forces (HRF) current/retiring Coast Guard Strike Team, Army Tech Escort or Special Forces CRD, or other DOD/DHS/DOJ special CBRNE team members Minimum 10 years in operational planning and coordination of CBRN detection/preventative activities Knowledgeable in using the following types of representative Radiation/Nuclear (R/N) detection equipment: Personal Radiation Detectors (PRD) (Spectroscopic/Non-Spectroscopic) (examples may include: D-tect Systems Mini Rad-D, Thermo RadEye, FLIR IdentiFINDER R300 nanoRaider, and Kromek D3S); Human Portable Radiation Detection Backpacks (examples may include: Thermo PackEye, and Bubble Technology Industries FlexSpec); Radiological Isotope Identification Devices (RIIDs) (High-Res/Low-Res) (examples may include: FLIR IdentiFINDER R400 and ORTEC Detective DX); Mobile Radiation Detection System such as Radiation Solutions Inc. RSI-701; Auxiliary Equipment: Radios, Radioactive Material Sources. Minimum 7 years of direct equipment experience, including: Primary and secondary screening devices Spectroscopic detection devices Chemical identification equipment (FTIR and Raman technologies) At least one basic radiation fundamental training program certification Obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B within the first 3 months of contract award Demonstrated excellence in leadership, public speaking, and technical writing (SITREPs/AARs) Ability to carry equipment up to 50 lbs. Active Secret Security Clearance CBRN subject matter expert Able to carry equipment up to 50lbs. 10 years' experience in operational planning and coordination of detection and preventative activities; 7 years hands on experience of the same Operational experience in planning CBRN detection operations, managing logistics, and executing detection during NSSE, events of significance to include SEAR, events of all levels (I through V), enhanced steady state, steady-state, and surge operations Equipment experience shall include the use of primary and secondary screening devices including spectroscopic devices and chemical identification equipment utilizing FTIR and Raman technologies Demonstrate tactics, techniques, and procedures for CBRN detection operations Excellent leadership qualities, public speaking and presentation skills Possess National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command Structure (ICS) certifications and courses (i.e.ICS 100, 200, 700) Excellent decision making and critical thinking skills in a high paced environment Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for performance of duties Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently Travel over 50% during the year Contingent upon contract award DAWSON is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/VEVRAA federal contractor.
