Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

SEASONAL - CONTRACT - RN - LABOR AND DELIVERY (708) - 13 WEEKS - 7:00A-7:00P provides high-acuity maternal care in a Level 4 maternal center, supporting patients from triage through labor, delivery, and post-procedure recovery. This role delivers safe, evidence-based nursing care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care for high-risk maternal patients across labor, delivery, and triage workflows.
• Circulate in procedural and operative settings, ensuring sterile technique and safe patient positioning.
• Assess patient status, monitor maternal-fetal indicators, and escalate changes in condition promptly.
• Prepare and support scheduled and emergent labor and delivery procedures and interventions.
• Coordinate care transitions and maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems (including CPN and Meditech).
• Collaborate with charge nurse and multidisciplinary team members to maintain efficient throughput and patient safety.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and maintain compliance with all applicable state requirements.
• Demonstrate experience with high-risk maternal patients.
• Perform circulating operating room and triage responsibilities competently.
• Possess 1+ year of relevant Labor & Delivery experience (more experienced candidates preferred).
• Have experience with vaginal and Cesarean deliveries and common L&D procedures (e.g., D&C, tubal ligations, cerclage).
• Maintain a team-first, fast-paced mindset with strong multitasking and adaptability skills.
