GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Responsible for overnight coverage of the front desk, assisting guests with general questions, maintaining safety and communication with other shifts and departments. Hours of this position are from 11pm-7am.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintains professional appearance, good listening and communication skills and a friendly, congenial personality
• Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have computer experience; particularly, the ability to navigate Microsoft outlook and compose emails.
• Initiate the night audit in our Property Management System; including running reports, close down day, and reopen for next day.
• Check for open folios
• Check in/check out guests
• Answer phones
• Answer guests calls/questions/concerns/needs
• Assist with Fire Alarms/emergencies if needed
• Make new room keys
• Accurately collect information from potential guests wishing to make a reservation and pass it along to the daytime reservations team.
• Correspond with the overnight engineering staff to assist with accessing guest vehicles.
• Act as liaison with safety services in the event of an emergency.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work the overnight shift on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: There is no prior experience or training required to perform the essential functions of this job.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to; sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. It is also required that the employee be able to lift, turn, or exert force more than 30 pounds.
