Registered Nurse – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit

Schedule: Shift Variations: Day Shifts: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM Evening Shifts: 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM, 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM Every 3rd weekend and holiday as needed No call

Requirements: Pediatric experience required 2+ years of PACU experience required, with strong knowledge of phase 1 recovery for large complex cases (neuro, thoracic, vascular, ortho spine) Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks required Must pass telemetry test on Day 1 with a score of 84% or better Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Preferred Experience: TNCC

Assignment Details: Floating to other departments as needed

Roles and Responsibilities: Provide post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical procedures Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and recovery status in a PACU setting Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery
