Overview:
A large pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturer is seeking a Mid-Level Automation Engineer to provide comprehensive process control and automation support across multiple buildings, including utilities and infrastructure systems (solvent, waste, AHUs, server rooms, and control networks). This role supports Siemens PCS7, Emerson DeltaV, and PLC-based systems with 24/7 operational coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute change control activities through electronic change management systems, including approval of records, controlled documents, and system modifications
• Deliver small-project control system designs and implementations (CMs, EMs, phases, graphics, recipes, and hardware upgrades)
• Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and ensure proper testing and documentation
• Develop and update SOPs for Global Execution Systems with a focus on data integrity and compliance
• Complete and peer-review BPCS tasks, work orders, and managed service activities, including system administration, continuous improvement initiatives, investigations, and invoice approvals
• Support production and shutdown/startup activities
• Ensure effective project close-out with complete documentation and IP handover

Requirements:

• Automation engineering experience supporting design changes, configurations, and PLC programming
• 7+ years experience
• Execution Systems support experience
• Experience with DeltaV and/or Siemens PCS7 platforms
