Senior Security Analyst

Our financial services client is seeking an experienced Vulnerability Manager to lead the analysis, prioritization, and remediation of enterprise security vulnerabilities. This role serves as the bridge between Security Operations, Infrastructure, and Technology teams by transforming vulnerability scan data into actionable remediation plans, executive-level reporting, and measurable security improvements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cybersecurity with deep expertise in vulnerability management, risk analysis, remediation planning, and security metrics. You will be responsible for evaluating vulnerability scan results provided by Security Analysts, determining business risk and severity, driving remediation efforts, and developing executive dashboards and KPIs that communicate the organization\'s security posture. Key Responsibilities Analyze vulnerability scan results received from Security Analysts across servers, workstations, network devices, cloud environments, and applications. Validate vulnerabilities and determine severity based on CVSS scores, exploitability, asset criticality, business impact, and threat intelligence. Prioritize remediation efforts using a risk-based approach. Develop remediation recommendations and partner with infrastructure, application, and engineering teams to ensure vulnerabilities are resolved within established SLAs. Track remediation progress and provide ongoing reporting to stakeholders. Design, maintain, and improve vulnerability management processes, standards, and workflows. Develop and maintain executive dashboards, KPIs, and metrics that communicate vulnerability trends, remediation performance, compliance, and organizational risk. Present vulnerability posture and remediation status to senior leadership and executive stakeholders. Identify recurring vulnerability patterns and recommend long-term solutions to reduce organizational risk. Automate reporting, data analysis, and operational tasks using Python or PowerShell. Collaborate with Security Operations, Incident Response, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams to improve the organization\'s overall security posture. Support audits, compliance initiatives, and risk assessments as needed. Required Qualifications 7+ years of overall cybersecurity experience, with a strong emphasis on vulnerability management. Demonstrated experience analyzing enterprise vulnerability scan results and determining appropriate risk ratings and remediation strategies. Experience working with vulnerability management platforms such as Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7 InsightVM, or similar solutions. Strong understanding of: CVSS scoring Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) Security configuration management Patch management processes Risk-based vulnerability management Experience creating executive dashboards, reports, and security KPIs. Proficiency with Python or PowerShell for scripting, automation, and reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical risks to both technical and executive audiences. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
