Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER Biweekly Hours: 80.00 Shift: Variable Shifts; 7a-3:30p, 3p-11:30p, 11p-7:30a For nearly two centuries, the MetroHealth System's mission has been focused on delivering high-quality patient-centered care to all communities in Northeast Ohio. Today, through our state-of-the-art Level One Trauma Center, cutting-edge specialty care units, and dedicated caregivers, the system is working at the forefront of medicine to address the overall needs of our patients and eliminate healthcare disparities. Position Summary:
- Performs various duties in the operating room.
- Maintains the cleanliness and efficiency of operating room services.
- Performs limited neonate through geriatric patient care services.
- Orients employees to equipment and procedures.
- Serves as a role model to other operation room technicians and students.
- Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
- High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
- Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
- Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds

- May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
- May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
- Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
- Ability to push/pull 350 pounds.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds.
- Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
- Requires some exposure to chemicals.
