TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Albany, Georgia, 31701!

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Days Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Experience: 2 years in specialty with travel experience required License: Yes Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate or above EFM Must-Have: - 2 years of experience in specialty, no first-time travelers - Compliance with a strict 72-mile radius rule Description: The labor and delivery unit has 12 labor beds, 5 antepartum beds, and 2 operating rooms. An OB emergency room is available with 6 beds. The unit experiences 150-200 births monthly. Nursing ratios follow the AWHONN FHM system. Charting is managed through MEDITECH. Charge nurses are generally outside the staffing grid. OB techs assist in c-sections and attend vaginal deliveries. The facility is a baby-friendly hospital with lactation support available. Nurses may float as needed to the postpartum unit. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. There is a rotation for holiday coverage with permanent staff. Common patient diagnoses include high-risk and routine obstetrics cases.
