Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

Looking for a full-time driving position with a consistent weekday schedule? Diverse Staffing is hiring an experienced Yard Jockey Driver for a busy warehouse and distribution operation in Port Wentworth, GA. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering weekly pay and long-term potential for dependable drivers.

Job Duties

Operate a jockey truck/yard truck to move and stage trailers and containers throughout the yard
Position containers at assigned loading and unloading doors
Inspect equipment before use and report safety concerns immediately
Maintain communication with supervisors regarding trailer movement and assignments
Verify trailer locations and maintain yard organization
Follow all company and facility safety procedures

Must-Have Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent jockey truck, yard driver, or yard spotter experience
Ability to safely operate yard equipment in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read work instructions and perform basic counting and documentation tasks
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

Previous warehouse or distribution center experience
Experience working around shipping and receiving operations

Work Environment

Outdoor yard and distribution facility environment
Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and humidity
Frequent climbing in and out of yard equipment throughout the shift
Walking and standing for extended periods when not operating equipment
Fast-paced operation requiring attention to safety and traffic patterns
PPE may be required based on facility policies
