Floating Universal Banker - Coral Springs, FL

Overview The Universal Banker serves as a full‑service, single point of contact in the branch for SouthState customers’ financial needs. The position operates in a dual capacity as a teller and FSR, delivering exceptional customer service in both transactional and account‑management functions. Responsibilities Serve customers quickly, accurately, and confidentially following SouthState Bank Service Standards. Understand and explain the bank’s products and services, including features, benefits, regulations, and pricing. Identify customer needs, expand relationships by making referrals, and pursue defined sales goals. Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with bank policy. Ensure compliance with banking regulations such as Regulation CC and the Bank Secrecy Act. Develop strong knowledge of customer‑facing technology and enroll customers in self‑service options. Process teller transactions for savings, checking, and loan accounts; balance daily cash; manage ATM service; maintain a clean work area. Guide and train new tellers as needed. Handle safe‑deposit‑box access, cash and certified‑check sales, and check cashing within prescribed limits. Open new deposit accounts, manage stop payments, wire transfers, and other maintenance functions within limits. Explain policies and procedures to customers and resolve complaints courteously and discreetly. Direct difficult cases to appropriate resources. Assure accurate record‑keeping, timely reporting, and proper distribution of correspondence. Perform floating duties, including vault or back‑up vault responsibilities, and travel to other branch offices as required. Qualifications High‑school diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year of teller or cash‑handling experience and six months of customer‑relationship or sales experience. Demonstrated proficiency in teller II and basic FSR functions. Good interpersonal, computer, and verbal skills; ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
