Title Dental hygienist Job Description Patient Care: Perform thorough dental cleanings (prophylaxis), periodontal maintenance, and comprehensive oral assessments. Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, plaque control, and preventive care strategies. Clinical Procedures: Administer local anesthetics and take dental X-rays as needed. Collaboration: Work closely with the dentist and the dental team to identify oral health issues and ensure optimal patient care. Administration: Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and update treatment plans within the practice management software. Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols. Shift & Schedule Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Friday - Sunday: Closed Requirements Basic life support Cardiopulmonary resuscitation Licensed dental hygienist Licensure: Valid State of California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license. Certification: Current CPR/BLS certification. Clinical Skills: Proficiency in standard dental hygiene procedures, including coronal polishing. Soft Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and a patient-centric approach to care. Teamwork: Ability to work well within a collaborative team environment. Preferences Dentrix Dexis Tech Stack: Experience using Dentrix practice management software and Dexis digital imaging. Specialty Knowledge: Familiarity with multi-specialty practices (Periodontics, Orthodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery) is a plus.
