Allergy Assistant

We are looking for an Allergy Assistant to aid our allergy department and make a difference in patients' lives. You would be responsible for preparing for Allergy shot patients by pulling and replacing vials and organizing the vial refrigerator. This role will assist with medication management and maintaining patient records. The Allergy Assistant will also clean and prepare exam rooms for use and provide administrative and clinical support to the allergy department. The Allergy Assistant will train in our Albany office before transitioning up to our beautiful, new office in Saratoga Springs. Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 2 years' experience in medical office and/or customer service preferred. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills in all interactions and communications with patients and their families, co-workers inter and intra departmentally, and visitors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong organizational, detail and interpersonal skills. Computer skills and knowledge of word processing. Ability to work with staff at all levels, while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism, discretion, ethics, and confidentiality. Proven ability to take initiative, be resourceful and creative in problem-solving. Compensation The compensation range for this position is $19.00 to $22.50. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, education, experience, and qualifications.
