Substation Physical Designer

Overview Seeking a Substation Physical Designer with 4+ years of experience to support high-voltage and medium-voltage substation projects for utility, renewable energy, and industrial clients. This role involves developing physical layouts, equipment arrangements, grounding, lightning protection, and construction drawings, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include performing conceptual and detailed designs, engineering studies, quality reviews, and creating bills of materials. The designer will act as a technical lead on projects, develop proposals, and mentor less experienced team members. Qualifications include proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and inventor, with experience in grounding and lightning studies. A relevant associate degree is preferred.
