Quality Technician

Quality Control InspectorThis role focuses on ensuring that products and packaging consistently meet established quality and food safety standards in a manufacturing environment. You will inspect items during production, document quality checks, and collaborate with production teams to quickly resolve any quality concerns.ResponsibilitiesInspect products and packaging during production to verify they meet defined quality and safety standardsRecord and document all quality checks accurately in the appropriate systems and logsIdentify, investigate, and report quality issues in a timely and clear mannerEnsure products meet internal company standards and regulatory requirementsFollow established food safety, GMP, and quality procedures at all timesUse ATP swabs, EMP testing, and other inspection tools and methods as requiredSupport and follow FDA-related quality control guidelines and documentation practicesWork closely with production teams to resolve quality concerns and prevent recurrenceMaintain organized and complete records and documentation related to quality inspectionsConsistently follow instructions and standard operating procedures to maintain complianceEssential SkillsPrevious experience in manufacturing or quality control preferredStrong attention to detail when inspecting products and reviewing documentationAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and established proceduresBasic computer skills for data entry and documentation of quality checksBasic math skills for measurements, counts, and quality-related calculationsAbility to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift in a production environmentKnowledge of quality control and inspection practicesUnderstanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)Familiarity with food safety principles and proceduresAbility to work effectively with production teams to address quality issuesAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in a food manufacturing or packaging environmentExposure to FDA-regulated production settingsExperience using ATP swabs and environmental monitoring programs (EMP) for sanitation verificationComfort with completing and maintaining quality records and documentationBackground or training related to quality assurance or food safetyWhy Work Here?Employees benefit from a supportive environment that values quality, safety, and continuous improvement, along with access to a 401(k) plan to help support long-term financial wellbeing.Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a cold production environment where adherence to food safety and quality procedures is essential. You will spend most of the shift standing and walking on the production floor, performing inspections and documentation. Appropriate attire for a cold facility and compliance with all safety and hygiene requirements are expected.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Skokie, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
