Working Conditions/Physical RequirementsCapable of quickly traveling to multiple locations on school campus including up and down hills, lifting or otherwise carrying 40 pounds, traveling up/down flights of stairs, standing and sitting for long durations, typing for continuous hours on a computer keyboard, and reading information on a computer screen.There may be flexibility for an EC substitute to cover elementary grade levels, specifically from First through Fifth gradePreferred Qualifications:Native level fluency in one of the three languages (Spanish, or Chinese, or Japanese)At least 1 year experience working with preschool aged children A Bachelor's degree in Education or Early Childhood/Elementary Education is preferredKnowledge and understanding of Inquiry Based-Primary Years Program pedagogy is a plus but not necessaryExperience teaching or working in an immersion programExperience working in a multi-cultural environmentExperience using technology in the classroomCandidates offered a position must be able to pass a background checkCandidates offered a position must provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.No visa sponsorships available Required QualificationsBachelor 's Degree in Elementary Teaching/Education or equivalent experienceBasic understanding of spoken and written EnglishDemonstrated proficiency in the target language along with demonstrated ability to teach the target languageAt least 6 months -1 year of professional teaching experience in a language immersion classroom or something similarAlready have or be able to obtain specific certifications and trainingsTO APPLY:COMPLETE THE ONLINE APPLICATION attachments:* Current resume and cover letterCopies of degrees received (unofficial transcripts or diplomas), if availableContact information for at least 2 referencesWe are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
