We are seeking an inside sales professional to join our team, selling flooring to retail customers and assisting them with product choices according to their individual needs.

Carpet One Floor & Home is a leading flooring retailer in the community, known for our superior customer service and professional staff.

• Selling flooring and floor care products to customers
• Providing outstanding customer service and assisting customers with their needs
• Keeping up-to-date on our wide selection of floors, benefits, and warranties
• Helping customers make informed flooring choices through design and decorating advice
• Maintaining our showroom by keeping samples and displays neat and clean
• Working with customers to resolve requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Prospecting for new business opportunities and networking within the community
• Executing targeted sales strategies and providing exceptional follow-up
• Writing sales orders and processing customer transactions
• Answering customer questions and providing expert advice on flooring
• Helping customers choose the right flooring for their needs
• Providing decorating and design advice to customers
• Using our computer database to research merchandise availability and process orders
• Collaborating with other store employees to achieve sales goals

• Personally well-organized.
• Willing to undergo our extensive product and sales training in order to become certified flooring and design expert.
• Willing to divide his or her work time between the showroom floor and prospecting for new clients (out networking within the community).

• A passion for, or experience with, decorating or design
• Some college is preferred, but not necessary
• Must have access to reliable transportation in order to get to work, and to visit customers' home (as necessary)
• Open and flexible work availability, including weekends
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs and a willingness to learn our operating systems
• Retail sales experience strong preferred
