We are offering a highly competitive total compensation package valued at up to $100,000 annually, including comprehensive relocation support and temporary housing for seamless transition. In this critical leadership capacity, you will strategically blend visionary creativity with skilled operational oversight, guiding both the artistic and business direction of our beverage program. Your impact will span hands-on menu innovation, direct guest engagement, and the supervision of all bar-related functions—including staff mentorship, inventory controls, and financial performance. You will set the pace of excellence on the bar floor while ensuring operational integrity, regulatory compliance, and profit optimization across every shift.
Key Areas of Impact and Expertise
Program Vision & Beverage Strategy
- Design and execute an innovative, seasonal cocktail menu featuring signature drinks, modern classics, and sophisticated zero-proof options.
- Conduct extensive R&D utilizing molecular mixology, clarifications, fermentation, infusions, and premium local ingredients.
- Maintain meticulous recipe documentation, precision costing, and strategic pricing to achieve target profit margins.
Leadership and Talent Development
- Lead from the front by working behind the bar during peak service hours to guide and mentor staff.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of 5 to 15+ bartenders, barbacks, and support personnel.
- Facilitate weekly tastings and training sessions focused on advanced techniques, service standards, and strategic upselling.
Operational Leadership & Financial Stewardship
- Direct all daily bar operations, including inventory management, par levels, ordering, and vendor relations.
- Control costs effectively by monitoring shrinkage, minimizing waste, and ensuring pour accuracy.
- Analyze sales data to implement solutions that drive top-line revenue and optimize the P&L.
Guest Engagement & Creative Beverage Experiences
- Act as the face of the beverage program, engaging with VIP guests and curating bespoke daytime cocktail experiences.
- Collaborate with the executive culinary team on cross-menu integrations and pairings for thematic events.
- Elevate the brand presence through stunning, presentation-driven cocktails that drive social engagement.
Qualifications and Industry Credentials
- 5+ years of progressive experience in high-end cocktail bars, Michelin-star restaurants, or luxury hotel venues.
- Demonstrated success as a Head Mixologist or Bar Manager managing premium beverage programs.
- Expertise in classic and contemporary mixology, rare global spirits, and advanced preparation techniques.
- Strong financial acumen with direct experience managing inventory, budgets, COGS, and labor costs.
- Valid certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol); advanced certifications like USBG or BarSmarts preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a demanding, flexible schedule.
- Proficiency with modern POS systems, menu engineering software, and inventory management tools.
