Requisition ID: 19118 Remote Work: No Job Title: Shift Supervisor Department: Retail Reports To: General Manager FLSA Status: Regular Non-Exempt Pay: $17.50/hour Role Summary As a Shift Supervisor, you will support and partner with the General Manager and Assistant Managers to motivate and mentor retail team members. This will be the most important and primary aspect of your position. You will be inspiring a team of great people committed to creating a welcoming environment and making Trulieve the #1 dispensary. The role requires good communication, interpersonal skills, strong leadership and motivation, high customer service expectations, and strong conflict resolution skills. Key Duties and Responsibilities Supervisory and lead responsibilities in the retail setting to support the General Manager and Assistant Managers. Provide management and administrative support to the General Manager and Assistant Managers. Lead by example in providing strong customer service and driving sales to meet daily sales goals. Work with retail business operations, including payroll management and controlling expenses such as shrink and cash shortages. Adhere to all cannabis state‑specific regulations and laws and enforce compliance efforts. Support and partner with management on all functions of the business. Assume all duties of a key‑holding supervisor related to opening and closing procedures and basic supervision of staff. Assist with customer and employee issues, including returns, exchanges, complaints, suggestions, and compliments. Perform administrative duties including working with POS system and reporting. Disseminate advanced product knowledge and mentor associate staff members. Follow all SOPs in the dispensary environment across all departments. Train staff on state‑specific SOPs. Balance cash registers and perform cash handling duties. Partner with store management team on employee communication and recognition to promote positive team interactions. Lead training of new employees and provide ongoing training and development. Create and maintain a positive work environment on the sales floor. Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities. Seek continuous improvement and encourage others on the team to learn and progress. Work collectively and respectfully with other team members. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Skills and Qualifications Minimum associate degree preferred. Minimum 21 years of age. Prior cash handling experience. Management experience, preferably in retail or customer service, is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills, business sense, and professionalism; ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion. Highly motivated, confident, high‑energy, flexible, and adaptable to changing priorities. Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with various personalities and seniority levels. Strong attention to detail, time‑management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Ability to train, develop, and evaluate a patient consultant team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate. Mental and physical capacity to perform job duties. Valid driver’s license and clear driving record. Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening. Additional Minimum Qualifications Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday, see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure all requirements can be fully met. Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies. Must relate to ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people in the facility. Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance. Physical Requirements Constantly required to move/traverse entire facility, including confined spaces; accurately communicate and exchange sensitive information and ideas with others, including members of the public; observe/inspect details at varying ranges; operate computing devices. Frequently required to manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights, push/pull up to 50 lbs, lift/carry; ascend/descend stool/ladder/steps; position self and/or objects at floor level (crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl). Occasionally required to remain in a seated position. Work Schedule 40 hours weekly with flexible hours depending on store needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
