At Pyramid Healthcare New River Valley Inpatient in Radford, Virginia we specialize in Substance Use Disorder treatment. Pyramid Healthcare Inc. has been in operations since 1999 and we currently operate over 80 programs in 8 different states, offering a full continuum of high-quality behavioral health care for individuals suffering from substance use disorders, mental health concerns, and other behavioral health issues. • Address: 6226 University Park Drive, Radford, VA
• Salary Range: $125,000/year - $160,000/year based on experience/qualifications
• Schedule: M-F 9-5; on-call two days a week, occasional weekend scheduling via rotation.

Deliverables/Principal Results Expected:

• Complete history and physical assessments, evaluations, reassessments, and other clinical documentation as required.
• Review laboratory results, monitor blood levels, review physician orders, and support ongoing medical and medication management needs.
• Provide medication management services, including psychotropic medication management where applicable based on licensure and scope of practice.
• Diagnose and treat medical and/or psychiatric conditions in accordance with scope of practice and applicable regulations.
• Coordinate client care with internal and external healthcare providers, including primary care physicians, psychiatrists, specialists, pharmacies, and other treatment providers as appropriate.
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care efforts, including medication coordination and aftercare recommendations.
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to support cost-effective medication management and completion of medication prior authorizations when needed.
• Provide education and clinical support to staff regarding medical, psychiatric, behavioral health, and medication-related concerns as appropriate.
• Participate in treatment team meetings, clinical review meetings, peer review processes, and departmental meetings as required.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with CARF standards, licensing requirements, payer requirements, and organizational policies.
• Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information
• Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered Family Nurse Practitioner/FNP license for state of Virginia
• DEA registration required or eligible to obtain if prescriptive authority applies
• One year of experience in a substance use disorder treatment setting
• Preferred: direct clinical training and work in the areas of substance use disorder treatment.
