Job Title: Behavior Therapist / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Department: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services
Reports To: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Position Summary

The Behavior Therapist is responsible for providing direct, individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children, adolescents, and individuals with developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Behavior Therapist implements evidence-based interventions designed to improve communication, social skills, daily living skills, and overall independence while reducing behaviors that interfere with learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a supervising BCBA.
• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in home, school, community, or clinical settings.
• Collect and accurately document behavioral data during therapy sessions.
• Monitor client progress and communicate observations to the supervising BCBA.
• Assist clients in developing communication, social, academic, and independent living skills.
• Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to address challenging behaviors.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive therapeutic environment.
• Collaborate professionally with families, caregivers, teachers, and other service providers.
• Complete session notes, progress reports, and required documentation accurately and within established deadlines.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, organizational policies, and applicable ethical standards.
• Participate in ongoing supervision, professional development, and required training.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical supervision and treatment guidelines.
• Patience, compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to complete required background checks and training.
