Veterinary Technician - Overnight

Garden State Veterinary Specialists (GSVS) in Eatontown, NJ, part of Veritas Veterinary Partners, is seeking Veterinary Technicians for our busy Overnight ER department. GSVS is a multispecialty practice with board‑certified specialists in Emergency, Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Dermatology, Cardiology, and Ophthalmology. Responsibilities Assist with general anesthesia and sedated procedures (sedation, induction/maintenance, instrument care, sterilization). Set up CRIs and calculate medical math. Place IV catheters and institute fluid therapy. Position patients for radiographs and uphold radiation safety. Provide compassionate nursing care for hospitalized patients. Prepare and administer blood and plasma transfusions. Maintain accurate treatment sheets. Obtain and prepare blood samples for diagnostic testing. Use mechanical ventilators during anesthesia. Educate clients on at‑home care. Qualifications CVT, LVT, or RVT preferred; or minimum 2 years as a technician. VTS highly regarded. Comprehensive understanding of anesthetic monitoring. Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens. Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Understanding of normal vs. abnormal physiologic ranges. Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun. Schedule Overnight: Wednesday–Saturday 9:30 PM–8:00 AM. Overnight: Thursday–Saturday 6:00 PM–8:00 AM.
