Overview Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly (LBFE) focuses on alleviating loneliness and isolation among older adults in DuPage and Kane Counties from LBFE's facility in Batavia. Volunteers support older adults in friendship through various activities and programs. Responsibilities Commit to visiting or calling an older adult twice a month for 12 months. Develop a friendship through regular in-person visits (older adult's home, your home, outdoors (weather permitting), or another suitable community location) or remote phone calls. Orientation and Requirements Join an upcoming Zoom orientation. Attendance at a one-hour orientation session is required to volunteer, as well as successful completion of a background check.
