As our Heart Institute continues to grow, we are excited to add this newly created full-time Registered Dietitian position to our Clinical Nutrition team. In this role, you will collaborate with an exceptional multidisciplinary team to provide specialized nutrition care and optimal nutrition support (including parenteral and enteral nutrition) for patients with complex cardiac conditions, including those undergoing cardiac surgery and transplantation. This position offers the opportunity to address the unique nutrition challenges associated with pediatric cardiac care while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. Primary responsibilities include direct patient care at our Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. On occasion, this role may also support cardiac patients at other Denver Metro locations, including our North Campus in Broomfield and South Campus in Highlands Ranch, as well as provide remote patient care services to families throughout Southern Colorado. The Clinical Dietitian Professional is an experienced team member who provides comprehensive, safe, and ethical medical nutrition therapy to patients, families, and other clients in inpatient or outpatient settings.

Location/Dept: Aurora, CO (on-site) Job Details: Full-time, 40 hours per week Shift: Four (4)-10.5 hour shifts or Five (5)-8.5 hour shifts (30 minute lunch break); This position will train in other inpatient areas and be included in our weekend and holiday rotation schedule.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assesses, plans, and delivers accurate medical nutrition therapy using established standards and evidence. Incorporates principles of culture-competence and family-centered care. Trains and observes RDs, interns, and students in their clinical practice and provides feedback to enhance understanding and compliance. Pursues ongoing professional growth by proactively seeking opportunities for skill enhancement Actively contributes to rounds, care conferences, and care coordination. Collaborates and promotes teamwork to achieve positive patient and client outcomes across the organization and/or within the department. Proactively connects with Clinical Nutrition team members and other disciplines in the organization to identify Clinical Nutrition-related issues, potential solutions, and opportunities for quality and process improvement. Ensures compliance with established regulatory standards and healthcare regulatory requirements by identifying and following policies and procedures for the nutritional care provided. Accurately documents patient care and tracks time/activities for use with benchmarking, billing, and/or productivity in accordance with department standards. Participates in advocacy, policy and procedure review, quality improvement and/or research. Participates as a collaborative member of committees, task forces, and workgroups, contributing to initiatives and projects that advance the organization's mission.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION - Bachelor's Degree (prior to 2024 graduates). Master's Degree required for 2024 (and beyond) graduates. EXPERIENCE - Two (2) years clinical nutrition experience required LICENSURES - Registered Dietitians (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN) adhering to the Commission of Dietetic Registration guidelines. Salary Information Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Hourly Range: $30.04 to $45.06 Salary Information (add this information to job posting after full salary range). ***The stated range represents the full pay scale; however expected starting pay for this position is above the posted minimum of the range and will likely fall between $34.00 and $38.00/hour. Eligible Incentives: This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for qualified, external candidates.
