Security Officer

The Security Officer will be a part of the Protection Services Department, which has oversight responsibilities for the protection and safety of corporate employees and Ada-based corporate and family member facilities. The position will report to a shift supervisor. The work and responsibilities are varied, and the position involves a rotating work schedule on seven-day work operations.

Additional Job Description:

• Patrols assigned sites on foot or in vehicles; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Monitoring and authorizing of vehicles or people in the property (Access Control).
• Respond to alarms and assess situations.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma and a valid driver's license

Preferred skills & abilities:

• 2 to 4 years of prior security or criminal justice experience.
• The ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field is preferred.
• The ability to utilize basic computer applications.
• The ability to lift 50 lbs.
• A strong attention to detail.
