Security Officer
The Security Officer will be a part of the Protection Services Department, which has oversight responsibilities for the protection and safety of corporate employees and Ada-based corporate and family member facilities. The position will report to a shift supervisor. The work and responsibilities are varied, and the position involves a rotating work schedule on seven-day work operations.
Additional Job Description:
- Patrols assigned sites on foot or in vehicles; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
- Monitoring and authorizing of vehicles or people in the property (Access Control).
- Respond to alarms and assess situations.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma and a valid driver's license
Preferred skills & abilities:
- 2 to 4 years of prior security or criminal justice experience.
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field is preferred.
- The ability to utilize basic computer applications.
- The ability to lift 50 lbs.
- A strong attention to detail.
