Registered Nurse (Surgical Practice) - Per Diem

Job Details Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Hiring Range: $0.00 – $0.00 (final offer may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations) Schedule Details: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, Day Shift (10 hours) Cost Center: 34000 – 2255 Milford OBL Site Signing bonus may be available; a Recruitment Team member will confirm eligibility during the interview process. Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process for the delivery and management of patient’s care from admission to discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population. Perform patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure. Develop and coordinate individual plan of care, including discharge planning. Direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate nursing care within the assigned clinical setting. Delegate appropriately to others in accordance with the job description and competency level. Document patient care according to standard procedure. Develop, implement/coordinate and document an education plan for patient, family and significant other. Ensure quality and continuity of care through collaboration with other health care providers. Administer medications, perform treatments, therapies and operate equipment according to policy and procedure; assist physicians with treatment, procedures and special tests as required or directed. Participate in and support nursing governance activities. Assume responsibility for professional growth and assist in the education and development of staff. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrate the use of quality improvement in daily operations. Position Qualifications Required Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration. BLS certification (within 30 days of hire) by American Heart Association or American Red Cross. ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire or first scheduled course) by American Heart Association for select units (Gannett, MP1, ICU, ED, Cath Lab, Endo, IR, PACU, Float Pool). PALS certification (within 6 months of hire or first scheduled course) by American Heart Association for select units (PACU, ED). NRP Advanced Provider certification (within 6 months of hire or first scheduled course) by American Academy of Pediatrics for Maternity. Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing. Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
