The Sexton business fits within the ITW Drawform Division and is a market leader in the manufacture of high-pressure aerosol cans and after-market filter shells and is seeking a Forklift Operator that will be located at the Decatur, AL facility./ppThis Forklift Operator is responsible for properly loading, unloading, storing, verifying, and shipping materials in plant. The incumbent will also ensure the shipment of customer samples and finished goods, receive, and accurately store raw materials and packaging materials, and handle additional incoming and outgoing shipments./pulliVerify and keep record of incoming finished goods including product description and storage placement./liliRotate finished goods for FIFO shipping./liliEnsure finished goods are labeled and packaged properly for shipment./liliRemain informed regarding the current shipping schedule and key information for carrier needs./liliPull, stage, verify and load finished goods onto trucks according to pick ticket and other shipping documents./liliStore, ship, and monitor customer sample inventory./liliAssist with shipping smaller packages using the UPS Software system./liliReceive, store, and rotate raw material in addition to verifying raw material received matches all packing slips./liliCommunicate any discrepancies to the Materials Coordinator and Warehouse Manager./liliDocument and receive items such as packaging materials, parts, machinery, UPS packages, paint and other raw materials and verify these items are accounted for on packing slips./liliStore old corrugated cardboard and load for recycling as needed./liliMaintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse by placing all materials in the proper areas./liliPerform other duties as required./li/ulpQualifications/pulliHigh School diploma or GED required./liliForklift Truck certification required./liliMust be able complete OSHA Forklift Certification Exam./liliAble to lift approximately 20 40 pounds on a regular basis./li/ulpAdditional information/pulliDemonstrate knowledge concerning general safety protocol and procedures regarding field operations./liliAbility to work independently, manage projects and complete assignments in a timely manner./liliSelf-starter; works with minimal supervision; capable of offering up and making decisions./liliEffective oral, interpersonal and written communication skills./liliTeam-player with aptitude to learn the ITW culture and work within a fast-paced environment./liliAbility to maintain keen vision and mental awareness while practicing careful attention to detail./liliAbility to collaborate with team members to support troubleshooting, problem solving, root cause analysis, and related process improvement activities./li/ulpBeing an employee at ITW comes with lots of benefits.
