We are seeking a caring and experienced nurse to join our team as a school nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality health care services to students, promoting health education, and maintaining accurate health records.
Responsibilities:
- Administering medication and providing first aid to students and staff as needed
- Managing student health records and ensuring they are up-to-date
- Developing and implementing health and wellness programs
- Providing health education to students and staff
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote student health
- Responding to health-related emergencies and providing appropriate care
- Maintaining a clean and safe health office environment
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Puerto Rico
- Experience working as a nurse in a school or pediatric setting
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to school health
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing or related field
- Certification in pediatric nursing or school nursing
- Experience working with children with special health needs
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
