Interventional Radiology Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity in Brick, New Jersey. This position offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient care, working alongside a collaborative Interventional Radiology team in a well-supported clinical environment.

Compensation: $135 Per Hour

Position Details

• Setting: 50% Inpatient / 50% Outpatient
• Schedule: 4 days per week
• Hours: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
• Call: None

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients requiring interventional radiology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure follow-up care.
• Collaborate closely with the Interventional Radiology physician and multidisciplinary care teams to develop treatment plans.
• Provide patient education regarding procedures, risks, benefits, and follow-up care.
• Document patient encounters and procedural notes accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.
• Support procedural workflow and patient care coordination.

• Thoracentesis
• PICC Line Placement

Team Structure

• Work alongside:
• 1 Interventional Radiology Physician
• 1 Advanced Practice Provider
• Patient volume varies based on procedural and clinical needs

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active New Jersey license required
• Prior Interventional Radiology, procedural, hospital-based, or related specialty experience preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency performing:
• Paracentesis
• Thoracentesis
• PICC line placement
• Strong clinical, procedural, and communication skills
