Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable firmware for spacecraft, satellite buses, and reentry capsules across entire missions.
• Own software design, development, testing, and integration.
• Scope projects, capture requirements, and perform initial design trades for open-ended problems.
• Write structured bare-metal, RTOS-based, or Linux-based embedded software in C++.
• Build highly reliable and available software systems.
• Ensure software quality and performance through testing, verification, and validation.
• Provide flight operational support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
• At least 5 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
• Experience developing and testing real-time embedded hardware and software systems.
• Experience developing in C++ with a strong understanding of language concepts.
• Preferred experience with safety-critical software, particularly aerospace applications.
• Preferred experience with Python or Rust.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, and computer networking.

• Salary range is $169,067-$216,031 per year.
