Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse by loading, unloading, and moving materials efficiently and safely. If you have experience with heavy equipment operation and are familiar with warehouse management systems, we encourage you to apply for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to move products and materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using our warehouse management system.
- Utilize basic math skills to ensure accurate counting and weighing of products.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient shipping and receiving procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Familiarize yourself with the warehouse management system and apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a related role is essential.
- Proven experience with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Knowledge of basic math and mechanical principles.
- Experience with shipping and receiving procedures in a warehouse setting.
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating a forklift, pallet jack, and reach truck.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy loads.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Basic math skills and mechanical knowledge.
- Experience with warehouse management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
