About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2 years required License: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Trauma Level I and II experience required Travel experience required Previous charge experience preferred Aseptic technique skills required Description: The position requires a minimum of two years of experience. Experience in Trauma Level I and II is mandatory. First-time travelers will not be accepted. The contract length is 13 weeks. Shifts will be 5 days per week, from 09:00 to 17:30. Candidates must possess the following certifications: BLS, CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA. Experience with special equipment is required, including steam sterilizers and washers. Responsibilities include sterilization, decontamination, and proper labeling procedures. Candidates should be familiar with biological indicators and sterilization wrapping procedures. Weekend shifts and holiday coverage will be required as scheduled. Floating to other units may be required based on operational needs. This position does not require on-call duties. Compliance with all policies and procedures is necessary. Candidates should be comfortable with floating within the specialty with no restrictions. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
