As a Clinical Nurse in our Inpatient Ortho Unit, you'll deliver focused, compassionate care to patients recovering from joint replacement, fractures, spinal procedures, and other orthopedic conditions. Orthopedic Inpatient RN Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the orthopedic inpatient unit.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize recovery.
• Monitor patient progress, assess for complications, and promptly report any concerns or changes in condition.
• Support pre- and post-operative care for orthopedic patients, including pain management and mobility support.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and contribute to discharge planning and patient education.
• Participate in unit initiatives aimed at improving outcomes and patient experience.

Orthopedic Inpatient RN Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in New Mexico or compact state eligibility.
• BLS certification required; additional ortho or med-surg certifications a plus.
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in orthopedics or medical-surgical inpatient care.
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills essential.
