You won't be standing around watching work happen - you'll be in it, learning it, and helping make it happen. One day you might be prepping pipe, the next you're helping with equipment, and the next you're solving a problem nobody saw coming.  That's construction. Pay: $22 - $24/hr What You'll Be DoingWork as part of a crew on underground construction projectsSupport operators, welders, and foremen in daily field tasksAssist with pipe installation, excavation, grading, and site prepWork safely around heavy equipment and construction toolsHelp with rigging, materials handling, and general jobsite workLearn different construction processes by doing and asking questionsKeep job sites clean, organized, and safeFollow direction from your Foreman and experienced crew membersWhat We're Looking For: Required: A minimum of 6 months of construction or related hands-on field experience. We want people who:Show up ready to work and learnDon't wait to be told - they jump in and helpCan work safely around heavy machineryCommunicate and work well with a teamTake pride in doing things the right wayAren't afraid to get dirtyCore CompetenciesWorks well with others and contributes to team successSpeaks up when something isn't safe or doesn't look rightPays attention and learns from experienced crew membersBuilds trust through honesty and effortAdapts quickly to changing jobsite conditionsLooks for ways to help without being askedResponsibilitiesFollow directions from Foreman and crew leads at all timesInspect tools and equipment before useParticipate in daily safety meetings, JHAs, and stretch & flexAssist with preparing, performing, and cleaning up job tasksMaintain safe work habits around heavy equipment and toolsHelp maintain clean, organized work trucks and job sitesKeep personal phone use limited to breaks and non-work areasExpectationsRESULTSTools are returned and organized properly after useJob sites are left clean and safeTasks are completed thoroughly and correctly the first timeTEAMWORKSupport the crew and step in without being askedLook out for fellow crew members and safety concernsFollow direction and help keep projects movingKNOWLEDGELearn construction processes through hands-on workAsk questions - that's how you grow hereKeep required certifications current as neededPhysical RequirementsStand and walk for long periodsLift and carry 50–100 lbs regularlyClimb ladders, trenches, and uneven terrainKneel, crouch, stoop, and crawl throughout the dayWork in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind)Work around dust, noise, and active construction equipmentWhy NIX Construction?We don't just hire workers - we build crews.
