Travel OR Charge Nurse

Overview Position: Travel OR Charge Nurse Location: Lewiston, Maine Department: OR/Surgery Shifts Available: Days and Nights Pay: up to $1,657–$2,297 gross pay per week; equivalent to $41.44– $57.43 per hour. Assignment Length: 12 weeks Paid WeeklyAdditional $3/hour differential is paid on top of the base rate. Responsibilities Oversees OR operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts. Ensures safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with regulations and hospital policies. Manages staffing, scheduling, and daily assignments. Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development and performance. Assists with performance management and HR-related activities. Monitors supplies, equipment, and department readiness. Coordinates surgical services, patient flow, and care transitions. Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues through the appropriate chain of command. Rounds with patients and families to support a positive patient experience. Provides direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing and patient care standards. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAININGCurrent and valid state RN LicenseCurrent BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current Previous supervisory experience, required Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital Surgical OR setting, required Competency in Sedation Monitoring upon hire and maintain current Pay Transparency Premiere Healthcare Staffing offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $41.44 to $57.43. This compensation estimate is specific to Maine and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
