The Seabrook School District, part of SAU 21, is seeking a Director of Special Education to join our team. Nestled in the vibrant seaside community of Seabrook, our district serves approximately 600 students in grades PK–8 and is committed to fostering academic excellence while ensuring every student feels valued, supported, and connected. Daily Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all aspects of the special education program Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education programs Provide instructional leadership and support to ensure student success Manage school operations related to special education services Implement and monitor school improvement initiatives Licensure and Education: Certification: Valid NH certification as a Special Education Director (or reciprocal in process) Education: Minimum of Masters Degree Required Skills: School Improvement: Experience in developing and implementing school improvement plans Individualized Education Program (IEP) Development Student Regulation: Strong understanding of student emotional supports and behavioral health strategies Instructional Leadership: Ability to provide effective instructional leadership to staff members School Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills in a school setting Educational Leadership Professional Learning Communities Teacher Evaluation MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) Technical Skills: Legal & Regulatory Compliance Clinical & Programmatic Oversight Budget & Grant Management Data & Operational Technology Salary and Benefits: The Director of Special Education position offers a competitive salary range of $106,107 to $122,710, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, health savings accounts, tuition reimbursement, health & wellness programs, and sick leave.
