School Nurse Contract Position

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Illinois
• Experience working with school-aged children preferred
• Familiarity with standard nursing practices in school settings
• Strong assessment and clinical skills, including emergency response
• Excellent communication abilities to interact with students, families, and faculty
• Ability to maintain detailed health records and comply with privacy regulations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver routine and emergency care to students and staff
• Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies
• Administer medications and first aid as needed
• Conduct health screenings and assist with immunization compliance
• Develop care plans for students with medical needs in partnership with parents and educators
• Maintain up-to-date records and submit required documentation
• Provide health education to promote wellness and disease prevention across the school community

Compensation for this position ranges from $28.00 to $45.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
