Solar Project Engineer

DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking a Solar Project Engineer in Juno Beach, FL.Overview:The Solar Project Engineer's responsibilities span the full project lifecycle-from initial concept definition through final commissioning-and require ongoing coordination with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including environmental, procurement, transmission services, and project management teams across both early-stage development and active construction. The successful candidate will have experience applying value engineering principles to balance reliability, cost, and performance for complex systems, along with a solid working knowledge of relevant engineering disciplines, including electrical, structural, civil, and materials engineering.Requirements* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (required)* Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; Exceptions may be made for candidates with fewer years of experience if a strong match* Demonstrated strength in communication, leadership, and project management* Demonstrated ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve business objectives* Engineering and project management experience on utility scale solar projects is preferred* Experience managing schedules and budgets for large capital projects is preferred* Engineering and project management experience in the following areas may also be considered: Distributed generation (DG)/commercial solar; Other power industry technologies, including wind, BESS, combined cycle, nuclear, hydrogen, substations, and transmission; Strong candidates with experience outside the power industry (e.g., aerospace, civil, stormwater)Job TypeContractCompensation35 - $40
