Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Job Overview Registered Nurse (RN), Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Full-Time – Night shift. Sign-On Bonus: $10,000. Schedule: 3x12, 7p-7a, rotating weekends. Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Lawrenceburg is part of Lifepoint Health. Responsibilities Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments. Documents patient care provided. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Qualifications Applicants must have a current Tennessee or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 7 days of hire; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 3 months of hire; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 3 months of hire. Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to work in a stressful environment and act appropriately. Experience: One year of previous experience preferred. Licenses: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with the proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
