Product Manager, Discounts & Promotions

Role Description

The Difference You Will Make:

• Responsible for product roadmaps and launches at Airbnb.
• Drive specific features for every launch and determine external communication.
• Accountable for the success of Airbnb products throughout their life cycle — from concept to release and ongoing iteration.
• Ensure a consistent product voice across all products being developed at Airbnb.
• Own the roadmap for discounts and promotions within broader pricing tools.
• Work closely with cross-functional partners across business and guest experience teams.
• Develop targeting and business strategy using programmatic Airbnb funded promotions.
• Build capabilities to execute campaigns at scale.
• Success defined by how well discounts and promotions help hosts increase earnings and drive price competitiveness.
• Understand host needs and concerns to distill them into simple, delightful products.

A Typical Day:

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for discount and promotional pricing tools.
• Design mechanics of promotional offers balancing host flexibility with guest value.
• Build tools for global, event-aligned promotional campaigns.
• Architect a programmatic promotions engine flexing pricing incentives by market, timing, and demand signal.
• Craft narratives from pricing and promotions data to engage hosts, partners, and internal teams.
• Set high standards for product craft and quality, ensuring speed and measurable outcomes.
• Partner with Design and Engineering to ship pricing features quickly.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Marketing, Ops, and Trust for clean promotional execution at scale.
• Set sharp goals and OKRs for promotional adoption, discount redemption, and marketplace impact.
• Develop pricing and promotions expertise through host research and competitive benchmarking.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience.
• Experience developing pricing tools, especially around promotions in marketplaces.
• Experience creating product messaging and delivering it to customers and the media.
• Demonstrated track record of product leadership.
• Built and scaled global consumer products and ecosystems.
• Entrepreneurial track record of taking ideas to reality.
• Experience working on consumer products with a financial component.
• Strong ability to use data and perform business analysis to support product strategy/decisions.
• Excited to drive execution across teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Desire to do individual contributor product management work.

Location

• Open to candidates in multiple locations, must work Pacific Time Zone hours as needed.
• Position is US - Remote Eligible, may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites.
• Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.

How We'll Take Care of You

• Job titles may span more than one career level; base pay depends on various factors.
• Base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
• This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
• Pay Range: $200,000 — $240,000 USD.
