Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Tucson, AZ. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve their daily skills while working in a hospital setting.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active Arizona Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• Experience in an acute care or hospital environment preferred.
• Ability to perform patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document per department policy.
• Experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and OT students preferred.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with safe patient handling and materials handling protocols.
• Experience participating in interdisciplinary teams and discharge planning.
• Experience with quality improvement and documentation of QA activities.

Assignment Details

• Shift: Day (5x8).
• May be required to float to other facilities as needed.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide patient-centered occupational therapy within an interdisciplinary hospital team. Responsibilities include evaluating patient functioning, creating and implementing individualized treatment plans, participating in discharge planning, supervising COTAs and students, documenting care, and promoting patient and employee safety through adherence to facility protocols.
