Allied Health Coordinator

The Allied Health Coordinator provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for Continuing Education Allied Health programs. The coordinator works collaboratively with the Vice President of Workforce Development and Continuing Education and the Dean of Health Sciences to develop, implement, and evaluate workforce training programs that address regional healthcare workforce needs. Current program areas may include: Nurse Aide I Surgical Technology Pharmacy Technician Phlebotomy EKG Technician Additional allied health workforce training programs Responsibilities include program planning, instructor recruitment and support, student recruitment, regulatory compliance, clinical coordination, industry partnerships, and operational oversight of Allied Health Continuing Education programs. Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program Administration Coordinate day-to-day operations of Allied Health Continuing Education programs. Develop annual course schedules in collaboration with Workforce Development and Health Sciences leadership. Monitor enrollment, retention, completion, and credential attainment outcomes. Maintain program records and documentation required by state, accrediting, and certifying agencies. Prepare reports and data required by the college and NCCCS. Instructional Coordination Recruit, onboard, orient, and support adjunct instructors. Ensure instructional materials, equipment, and supplies are available and maintained. Monitor instructional quality and student satisfaction. Assist with instructor evaluations and professional development activities. Evaluates instructors by visiting classes, reviewing lesson plans and syllabi, observing classes, and reviewing student evaluations. Fiscal and Resource Management Assist with program budgets. Monitor expenditures for supplies, equipment, and instructional resources. Assist with grant implementation and reporting activities when applicable. Primarily office and classroom environments; includes fieldwork, site visits, and coordination with training locations. Requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Workforce and Community Engagement Develop relationships with healthcare employers and workforce partners. Identify emerging workforce needs and recommend new training opportunities. Participate in advisory committee meetings and workforce development initiatives. Represent the college at community events, career fairs, and recruitment activities. Student Services and Recruitment Assist prospective students with program information and career pathways. Support registration, orientation, and student success efforts. Coordinate marketing and promotional activities for Allied Health programs. Work collaboratively with Enrollment Services and Workforce Development staff to increase participation. Clinical and Regulatory Compliance Coordinate clinical experiences and healthcare partnerships. Maintain compliance with requirements established by state agencies, credentialing bodies, and healthcare partners. Ensure students complete required documentation, screenings, immunizations, and certifications. Assist with certification and examination processes. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in a healthcare-related field from an accredited institution. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management systems. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field from an accredited institution. Community college teaching or administration experience. Experience with Continuing Education programs. Experience working with healthcare regulatory or credentialing agencies. Experience coordinating clinical education or workforce development initiatives. Experience coordinating projects, programs, or educational activities. Current healthcare credential or licensure. Position Type Full-time Salary Range Compensation is commensurate with education and experience, consistent with Sampson Community College and NCCCS salary guidelines.
