Location: Remote
Duration: 6 month contract to hire Key Responsibilities - **Technical Delivery**
- Own and deliver projects across product, platform, and stakeholder teams.
- Design and build catalog and order management systems at scale.
- Build APIs that are maintainable, debuggable, and observable.
- **Ownership & Impact**
- Bring clarity to ambiguous problems and projects.
- Recognize when work isn't serving customers and course-correct.
- Unblock the team by addressing root causes, not symptoms.
- **Leadership & Communication**
- Mentor teammates and raise the team's technical bar.
- Drive initiatives that extend beyond our team.
- Communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Required Qualifications - 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Proven track record of owning and delivering complex technical projects with measurable business impact.
- Strong system design skills with the ability to create maintainable, observable architectures.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical standards across a team.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and create clarity for yourself and others.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working cross-functionally and influencing outcomes beyond your immediate team.
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
- Experience with Django web framework.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code tools is a plus. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in healthcare technology, clinical laboratory, or genomics/diagnostics industries.
- Knowledge of genetic testing workflows and laboratory operations.
- Understanding of healthcare compliance requirements including HIPAA and HITRUST.
- Experience designing and maintaining API platforms that serve multiple internal consumers.
