Responsibilities:• Designs and details engineering drawings for Cone Drive’s precision gearing products, assemblies, and components. • Ensures accuracy of work and adheres to project due dates as communicated by the design staff leader or project manager. • Interprets design requirements obtained from customer drawings, design input documentation, and input from Product Development Engineers, Application Engineers, and Sales Representatives• Reviews designs for compliance with customer requirements, manufacturability and ease of assembly. • Adheres to approved design standards, change management (ECN) procedures, and drawing release processes. • Works with Application Engineers and/or Product Development Engineers to ensure that designs meet functional, quality and cost targets.• Participates in design and project reviews as required.• Works with sales, purchasing, and manufacturing to optimize designs for meeting customer requirements.• Ensures completed bills of material comply to customer requirements. Requirements:• Associate’s degree in product design or equivalent combination of education and experience• Working knowledge of 2D & 3D CAD Design; Solid Edge (preferred) or Solid Works • Familiar with Microsoft Office Products including MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Preferred:• One year design experienceThis position may require access to United States export controlled technical data (“CTD”) and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR). Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations.
