Financial Controller

This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting leader who also brings deep FP&A experience and can bridge the gap between close processes, financial reporting, and forward-looking strategic analysis. The Controller will be responsible not only for accounting operations but also for building and presenting financial models and insights on a weekly basis to leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes , ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP Oversee the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial consolidations Own and maintain compliance with ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 842 (Leases) , including reporting and disclosures Build, maintain, and present FP&A models and weekly financial reporting packages to executive leadership Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, HR, and Finance to ensure alignment on financial data and reporting Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes Support external audits and coordinate with auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely filings and responses Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvementIdentify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and system optimization within accounting and finance functions Stay current on evolving accounting standards and regulatory requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 7–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role Strong FP&A background is required , including experience building financial models and presenting to leadership Experience working with organizations generating $100M+ in revenue preferred Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting standards, including ASC 606 and ASC 842 Strong experience managing full-cycle close processes and GL reconciliations Experience with ERP and accounting systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Bill.com, Oracle, or similar Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights #J-18808-Ljbffr Addison Group
