Job Title

SMH Level 3 RN – PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)

Location

New York, NY

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Rotating Day/Evening/Night Shifts | Includes Holidays, Weekends, On-Call, and Call-Back as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for adult post-operative patients in a high-volume, high-acuity setting
• Monitor and assess patient condition following surgical procedures, responding promptly to changes in status
• Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced nursing environment
• Manage a wide variety of post-operative patient presentations within a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Maintain clear, direct communication with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure continuity of care

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License – NY License required
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience
• PACU experience required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a high-acuity clinical environment
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
